Our History:
The agency was established by the late W. Richard Turner in 1954. At the time of establishment, the office was in Barkeyville, which is in Venango County, Pennsylvania. The office was moved to Harrisville in Butler County, Pennsylvania, in 1971. After the death of the agency founder, in 1974, his wife Betty & son Gary assumed the management of the agency. In 1980, the agency office was moved to 117 South Main Street in Harrisville. In 1982, Gary Turner purchased the agency and serves as the President. In 2003, Abbie Turner Michael joined the agency full time, making the agency a three generation business. In November 2006, construction was completed and operations were moved to a brand-new office building located at 240 South Main Street in Harrisville.

*We offer a full line of Auto, Home, Business, Life and Health insurance policies. *We are licensed to sell insurance in Pennsylvania and Ohio, serving clients primarily in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio.
Claims are a #1 PRIORITY at Turner Insurance. All claims are reported directly to our office when possible so we can be sure our client's claims are settled promptly and properly. With Erie Insurance we use our claim check authority so we can pay most of the small claims immediately.

At this time, there are six fully licensed agents at Turner Insurance to assist you with all your needs. Everyone that works at Turner Insurance are life-long area residents. We are all committed to providing the most prompt, accurate, and courteous service our clients have ever received. Gary R. Turner, CIC, CPIA
Gary is the President of Turner Insurance Agency, Inc. He began working at the agency in 1974, after the death of his father. He and his mother, Betty worked together for many years. Gary purchased the agency in 1982. He is licensed to sell property, casualty, life and health in Pennsylvania and Ohio. He handles many administrative details and sells both Personal & Commercial lines policies. He has been a driving force in the successful growth of the agency over the past 30 years.
Wendy S. Turner, CISR
Wendy is the Secretary/Treasurer of Turner Insurance Agency, Inc. She began working at the agency in 1975, shortly after marrying Gary. She is qualified to sell property, casualty, life & health insurance, and was an active producer for many years. She is the primary person who handles the accounting processes at the agency.
Larry E. Smith, CIC, CPCU
Larry joined Turner Insurance Agency, Inc in 1980 shortly after completing his degree in Business Administration at Penn State University. He is licensed to sell property, casualty, life & health in Pennsylvania & Ohio. He is the primary Commercial Lines producer and also works a great deal with Personal Lines in both sales & service. His 25 years of experience with insurance makes him a valuable resource within our agency, both to colleagues and clients.
Abbie Turner Michael, CPCU, CIC, CISR, CPIA
Abbie joined Turner Insurance Agency, Inc full-time in 2003, upon completion of her degree in Business Management from Grove City College. She worked part-time for the agency for 8 years prior to joining full-time. She is licensed to sell property, casualty, life & health in Pennsylvania & Ohio. She works primarily in the Personal Lines area as both a producer and serviceperson. Abbie is also responsible for much of the upkeep and development of the information technology within the agency.
Sylvia Snyder
Sylvia joined Turner Insurance Agency, Inc in 1994. She is licensed to sell property & casualty insurance in Pennsylvania. She is a producer and serviceperson within the Personal Lines field. She specializes in auto insurance, and works a great deal with motorcycles and other specially insured motorized vehicles.
Designations:
As we mentioned previously, our agency remains committed to continuing education. We desire to stay at the cutting-edge of changes within the marketplace in an effort to provide our clients with the best possible service. In order to do this we attend classes on a regular basis and through those classes we are able to obtain designations.
